SAP System landscape
They system landscape
basically is the set-up or arrangement of your SAP servers. Ideally, in an SAP
environment, a three-system landscape exists. A three-system landscape consists
of the Development Server-DEV, Quality Assurance Server-QAS and the Production Server-PROD. This kind of set-up is not primarily designed to serve as server
clusters in case of system failure, the objective to enhance
"configuration pipeline management".
Development
Server
Development Server is
where all new custom development ,Confiuration and enhancements Normally
completed.
Once the development is
completed, the enhanced/developed object will be moved to the quality Assurance
Server.
Development Server can
have more than one client based on the installation.
Sandbox
client
All the System Design
work done in the sandbox client.
Customizing client
All the Customization
work done in customizing Client.
Unit
test Client
All the uni testing on
the development in the test.
Quality
Assurance Server:
Quality Assurance
Server is where the developed object tested with various testers/users with all
possible scenarios.
Once the testing
completed the enhanced/ developed object will be moved to the production server.
Production
Server
The Business system
where the business users work on.production server is devloped objects will be
interated and used for business purposes.any enhanced objects available to the
business users once the objects/projects go live.
The Pouction server is
limited to the busines user.
